Testing to see if Dreamwidth can pull an image from Twitter! Also I really don’t like Diglett. It’s hiding something.

I don't see pictures on the main reading page, a lot of the time, but they show up just fine when I "click through" -- like this time! A broken picture icon on the main page, and then poof, diglett in all its dubious glory!

no problem. And I can see it using a browser that has no active Dreamwidth credentials, so it doesn't seem to be getting the equivalent of friends-locked.

Using the Silk browser, logged in to DW, do not have a Twitter account. I can see the image.

One of my browsers (Brave) thinks the image is a cross-site tracker and blocks it. (Unless I turn off that type of privacy protection for dreamwidth.org, at which point it displays.)

My other browser (Safari) sees it just fine.

This, yes. With enhanced tracking protection turned on in Firefox, it's blocked as a cross-site tracker, but shows up fine if I disable that.

Logged into DW, using Chrome (with various security plug-ins that sometimes block video, but don't generally block non-ad images), do have a logged-in twitter account, and I'm seeing it just fine!

Not mine -- I saw it first on my phone, and this is on my computer that doesn't even have logins for the twittysite. What browser/security? (I should try turning off badger for Firefox sometime, but... Oh, Privacy badger says it has nothing to do on the subscription feed page of DW! Huh.)

...then my next idea was that uBlock might be hiding it in my browser, but that's not the case either. I'm out of ideas.

Someone else figured it out: It's the "block tracking content" setting in Firefox that blocked it.

I see it when I click on the link, but there's just a placeholder in my feed.

I have no idea. Most images show up in my feed, but I used to have that problem with laurieopal's (Laurie Edison's pictures, and now they're showing up. You might want to check her out-- she's a very good jeweler who sells at sf conventions.

I do not see the image in Firefox or via RSS, where I *have* definitely visited the original tweet in the browser. I DO see the image when I load this page in Chrome, and I did not use that browser to access the original tweet.

Showed up in my DW feed this morning, viewing in Edge on my desktop. Haven't got Twitter open anywhere.

As a member of support, images should be currently fine (until Twitter does something weird) but tweet embeds are a nope because they don't use iframes.

For a momemt I thought the "or...?" image was implying the Diglett had dragged the Mr Mime underground and was eating it with its roots, and I was like "well if they're a natural predator of Mr Mimes they can't be all bad?" :-)

Cannot see in Firefox (just the alt text), can see in Chromium. Once I disabled blocking tracking content in Firefox I could see it, so that seems to be the cause.

I can see the images! I am using Firefox as a browser, and have never signed into Twitter in my life. I have adblocks in place, but am just plain delighted to see anything from you!! I don't go to Livejournal any more and have missed seeing your updates... hope to see you more often here??
