Apparently Procreate can handle text now, so fiddling around with it! otherwise, the usual, overworked, flailing, etc.

Chickens, though.

Boo, overload!

I find that it's helpful to remember I don't need to do all the things; I can only do one thing at a time, so what I need to do is the next thing.

(Sometimes the thing that needs doing is putting the things in a priority sequence, admittedly.)

May the books and people and things all find you suffice them in such degree of effort as you can afford to make.

Woot! Welcome back!

I myself am taking comfort in purple ink. New fonts, glitter pens, colored ink...whatever helps us Do the Things.

Edit: Sorry, that was meant to be a comment directly on the entry.

[ETA -- figured, but you get a reply anyway. Cue evil laugh.]

The problem isn’t whether or not, as I find myself being asked lately “we have a future”, but that we do, absolutely, have a future.

Paying attention, having an imagination, these are not things reliably experienced as features right now.

I bought some ridiculous pens over Christmas and just this weekend said Fuck It and got the single-battery chargers for the bug-out-bag because it helps. It shouldn't; I'm well into middle age, in a sedentary profession, and well aware of just how much marching I haven't got in me. It still helps. The future is going to win but I can still try to duck the first few swings.

Waves: Good to see you here again! I now have visions of live miniature phoenix chickens being worn as fascinators as a future fashion trend. Go, you!

It is very nice to see you again here.

All best for the overload. Including some things you want to do helps, I find.

I was like that last year and resolved to be more resolute about avoiding over committing myself. Time will tell if it works or not... but I admit I never thought of wearing a chicken on my head to help. Clearly I was missing a trick.

It is a year to wear chickens on your head. What the fuck, why not? That's my attitude for 2020. Any year that starts out with me being sicker than I have been for a long time...and the ongoing political drama...yeah. Chickens on the head. Why the fuck not?

I so hear you on the overload - I ended up having to give up on today when my body betrayed me and said, "You will Sleep Now And Have a Pounding Headache to Enforce It." I want, like, three or four timestopped weeks where all of us get to just lie down on the grass and count the clouds, and incidentally there's some sort of weird technological field that prevents us from thinking about all the things we could be doing but aren't with all that timestopped-time. I think that would be a very healthy vacation.

*waves warmly from the peanut gallery*

I find, oft of late, that I desperately, desperately need times when I am not needed; or at least, feel no needs of me.

I like the new font, I hope you make time for "Me" time to help de-stress.

I love the dragon/kelpie thing you have drawn, is it just a whimsy or part of a story or artwork?

Is this chicken-wearing like a ring of skulls, or a giant plush, or ...? The possibilities are endless.
