I was a party last night and we got onto the topic of books and I said something like "and I've a new Ursula Vernon book coming next week," and got instant responses of "oooh!" and "so do I!"
Younger offspring's year group at school (7-8yo) were asked for book recommendations this week, and his was:
N recommends "Hamster Princess: Harriet the Invincible" by Ursula Vernon. He says "It's very funny and I recommend it to people who like funny adventures. And hamsters."
It looks like the chickens are discussing your book buk. I was fortunate enough to stroke an owl this weekend. The local shopping centre had some visitors under the control of their human handlers from a local wildlife sanctuary. They were quite tolerant of being stroked by total strangers, the owls that is, not the humans!.
